Ahmed Mohamed, aka Flex, has been taking photos since the age of 14. He went pro in 2021 and discovered that what brings him joy is photographing people's daily lives on the street. Since then, he has won numerous competitions, including the Egyptian Press Competition, and was ranked the third best young photojournalist in Egypt in 2023.

A warm moment from inside an Egyptian home of a mother and her son during Eid al-Adha. Giza, Egypt 2025.
Why did you choose this particular image?
It's one of the most genuine moments I've ever captured. Amidst the festive atmosphere outside, this young man asked me to take a picture with his mother as a keepsake. I let them sit comfortably and then took the photo.
