One of Asia's Biggest Festivals Sunburn Makes UAE Debut December 2026

Sunburn festival has announced its UAE debut, with the India-born electronic music festival set to host an edition in Abu Dhabi in December 2026.

For almost two decades, Sunburn has been one of the main driving forces of electronic music in India, and has brought the likes of Avicii, Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas, Paul Van Dyk, Chainsmokers, Afrojack, Pete Tong, Tiesto, Armin van Buren, DeadMau5, Carl Cox and DJ Snake to its festival stages in Goa and across numerous smaller gigs and concerts that it curates.

In 2014, the International Music Summit hailed its impact, stating in a report that the festival was "as big as Tomorrowland and Ultra," while being ranked by everything from CNN to DJ Mag as one of the top ten festivals of its kind in the world.

Launched in 2007, the festival built on the trend of 'free parties' that reigned in Goa in the late eighties - music, food stalls, arts and crafts activities - and the electronic club scene that emerged with the rise of commercial tourism in the nineties.

Interestingly, the Abu Dhabi edition will run simultaneously with the Goa edition, which will enter its 18th edition, though other details have yet to be announced.
