Cairokee Lead Singer Amir Eid Releases First Chapter of Solo EP ‘Roxi’
The chapter features two tracks ‘Hagat Gowa’ and ‘Esmek Eh’ that see Eid exploring personal turmoils, feelings of loneliness and love at first sight.
Egyptian singer Amir Eid - famed as the lead singer of rock band Cairokee - has recently released the first chapter of his debut solo EP, ‘Roxi’.
Produced by Sony Music Entertainment Middle East, the chapter features two consecutive tracks, ‘Hagat Gowa’ and ‘Esmek Eh’, exploring themes of loneliness and love at first sight through introspective lyrics and soulful melodies.
The EP will feature a total of five songs released separately in the form of chapters, where each chapter unpacks a different aspect of a love story. Each track serves as a continuation of the previous one, drawing inspiration from Eid’s personal experiences to offer a single cohesive narrative.
The EP is complemented with a black and white short film starring Egyptian actress and dancer Nada Abadir and Amir Eid in an old bar, calling back to the nostalgic era of ‘50s and '60s cinema.
