Support Scheme Launched for Kalba Residents in Rental Disputes
Kalba Municipality and Sharjah Charity will coordinate case referrals, assessments and public donations to support residents unable to meet rental obligations.
A support scheme has been introduced to assist families in Kalba facing court rulings related to rental disputes, providing financial aid through a coordinated system between municipal authorities and a charitable organisation. The initiative, established through an agreement between Sharjah Charity International and Kalba Municipality, links official case referrals with eligibility assessments and community fundraising to accelerate support.
Under the framework, Kalba Municipality will submit records of residents affected by judicial rulings in tenancy cases. Sharjah Charity International will then conduct social and field assessments to verify eligibility and determine the level of assistance required.
Approved cases will be assigned dedicated donation codes and published on the charity’s official platforms, allowing contributions to be directed to specific families. The municipality will promote these codes through its networks to support faster mobilisation of funds.
Officials said the system is designed to ensure assistance reaches those most in need while maintaining transparency in how support is distributed.
The agreement was signed by Abdullah Sultan bin Khadem, Executive Director of Sharjah Charity International, and Yaqoub Yousuf Al Saher, Director of Customer Service at Kalba Municipality, in the presence of representatives from both entities.
