PNU Launches Fast-Track Admissions for High-Achieving Students

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh has introduced a new admissions track allowing high-achieving students enrolled in foundation year pathways to secure automatic placement in selected degree programmes.

Under the system, students who maintain a cumulative average of 4.5 out of 5 during the foundation year can bypass the standard programme competition process and secure a seat in their chosen specialisation.

The admissions pathway is open to female students who graduated from secondary school within the previous year and achieved a minimum score of 95% in high school.

According to the university, students who do not meet the required 4.5 average during the foundation year will instead enter the regular programme allocation system.

The track applies to programmes requiring a preparatory foundation year across healthcare and engineering disciplines.

Healthcare programmes included under the scheme span Medicine and Surgery at the College of Medicine, Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery at the College of Dentistry, and the Doctor of Pharmacy programme at the College of Pharmacy. Additional eligible programmes within the College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences include Doctor of Physical Therapy, Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine Techniques, Radiotherapy, and Hearing and Balance specialisations.

Engineering programmes covered by the track include Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering.

The initiative falls under the university’s Deanship of Admission and Registration programme focused on attracting academically distinguished students and supporting talent development aligned with labour market needs.
