‘Bershama’ Will Stream on Yango Play Starting May 25th
Following a major theatrical run, ‘Bershama’ will stream exclusively on Yango Play starting May 25th.
Bershama' will begin streaming exclusively on Yango Play from May 25th as part of the platform’s Eid Al Adha programming slate.
According to Yango Play, the release follows the film’s theatrical performance, which generated more than EGP 200 million at the box office, ranking second among the highest-grossing films in Egyptian cinema. Set during an Arabic language secondary school examination, the film follows a group of students who discover that their exam supervisor has died in the middle of the test.
Attempting to conceal the incident in hopes of cheating, they soon realise that none of them actually knows the answers.
The cast includes Hesham Maged, Reham Abdel Ghafour, Bassem Samra, Mostafa Gharieb, and Hatem Salah.
The film was written by Sherine Diab and Ahmed El Zoghbi, and directed by Khaled Diab. Yango Play stated that ‘Bershama’ joins a wider catalogue of exclusive and commercially successful Egyptian releases on the platform, including ‘Siko Siko’, ‘Project X’, ‘El Harefa 2’, and ‘El Shater’.
As part of its Eid season campaign, the platform is also introducing a promotional subscription offer allowing users to access three months of service for the price of one month
