July 26 Corridor to Close for Four Months for Monorail Construction
The closure will affect traffic heading from Lebanon Square towards the 15th of May Bridge as work begins on the Wadi El Nil–6th of October Monorail.

A section of the 26th of July Corridor in Giza will close for four months to facilitate construction of the Wadi El Nil–6th of October Monorail.
According to Giza's Traffic Department, the closure will affect traffic travelling from Lebanon Square towards the 15th of May Bridge. It will come into effect from midnight on Friday, July 10th, and continue for four months while crews install concrete slabs and beams for the new monorail line.
The Traffic Department said it has begun implementing a series of temporary traffic diversions to maintain traffic flow and reduce congestion around the construction zone.
Motorists are advised to follow the designated detours and traffic guidance signs throughout the duration of the works.
