Former World Champion Nouran Gohar Returns to PSA Squash Tour in Qatar

Former World No. 1 and World Champion Nouran Gohar is set to make her return to the PSA Squash Tour at the QTerminals Qatar Classic, marking her first competitive appearance in a year, following her depart from the tour after being pregnant.

The tournament, the first Platinum event of the new PSA season, will be held at Doha's Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, bringing together many of the world's top-ranked players.

One of the standout storylines could see Gohar renew her rivalry with fellow Egyptian Hania El Hammamy, the 2023 and 2025 Qatar Classic champion, should the pair meet in the quarter-finals. Their encounters have produced some of the most memorable matches in women's squash in recent years.

Gohar has been away from the tour for the past year after stepping away from competition. Her return comes after she missed several major tournaments, including the 2026 El Gouna International.

The Qatar Classic has long been one of the PSA Tour's flagship events, and Gohar's return adds another headline to a tournament already featuring many of the sport's biggest names.
