Egypt–France Trade Reaches USD 2.96 Billion in 2025
Exports rose to USD 1.14 billion, while imports fell to USD 1.82 billion.
Trade between Egypt and France reached USD 2.96 billion in 2025, up from USD 2.94 billion in 2024, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics. Egyptian exports to France increased by 4.6% year-on-year to USD 1.14 billion, while imports from France declined by 1.6% to USD 1.82 billion.
Key Egyptian exports included fertilisers valued at USD 313 million, electrical machinery and equipment at USD 260 million, vegetables and fruit at USD 88.4 million, chemical products at USD 81.4 million, and ready-made garments at USD 70 million.
On the import side, Egypt’s main purchases from France were pharmaceutical products worth USD 290 million, electrical machinery and equipment at USD 260 million, vehicles and related parts at USD 207 million, grains at USD 152 million, and dairy products, eggs, and honey at USD 71.4 million.
Investment flows between the two countries also increased. French investments in Egypt rose to around USD 767.1 million during the 2024/2025 fiscal year, compared with USD 483.8 million in 2023/2024.
Egyptian investments in France reached USD 398.1 million, up from USD 238.3 million in the previous fiscal year. Remittances followed a similar trend.
Transfers from Egyptians working in France increased to USD 99.7 million from USD 71.1 million, while remittances from French nationals working in Egypt rose to USD 17.7 million from USD 14.1 million.
The figures were released alongside discussions between Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Emmanuel Macron on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
