Early Closing Hours Policy for Shops Canceled Starting April 28th

Egypt will suspend its early closing hours policy for shops, restaurants and commercial centres starting Tuesday April 28th, according to a statement from the Cabinet.

Official spokesperson Mohamed El-Homsany confirmed that the Central Committee for Crisis Management approved the decision during a meeting today, ending the requirement for businesses to close at 11 PM and reinstating their previous operating hours.

The early closure measures had been introduced as part of broader government efforts to regulate electricity consumption amid increasing oil prices due to the regional conflict. The latest decision signals a return to pre-restriction schedules across Egypt.
