Dubai Square to Feature World’s First Air-Conditioned Mall Parking
Emaar says the upcoming Dubai Creek Harbour mall will include what it bills as the world’s first air-conditioned parking at a major shopping centre.
Dubai Square Mall at Dubai Creek Harbour will feature fully air-conditioned parking, which Emaar Properties is billing as a world first for a major shopping centre.
Emaar founder Mohamed Ali Alabbar said the parking facility is already under construction and will receive a full interior design treatment rather than being handled as a conventional car park.
The mall sits at the centre of the wider Dubai Square development, which Emaar launched in May as a mixed residential and retail project. Dubai Square Mall is expected to open in around three years and will join the company’s existing portfolio, which includes The Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, Souk Al Bahar and The Ranches Souk.
Plans for the mall also include dedicated facilities for electric vehicles, a drive-through shopping model and AI-powered services intended to simplify the customer experience.
The wider Dubai Square project is expected to cost around AED 180 billion and is being developed as one of the major new destinations within Dubai Creek Harbour.
