Dubai Municipality Completes 107 Projects Worth AED 1.6 Billion
More than a third of 2026 project investment went to public beaches, with further spending on landscaping, parks and community facilities.
Dubai Municipality completed more than 107 projects worth AED 1.6 billion in 2026 through its Public Facilities Agency, covering beaches, parks, neighbourhood upgrades, landscaping and other community facilities.
Public beaches accounted for 36% of total project investment, while 22% went towards city beautification, landscaping and agriculture. Projects included work at Al Mamzar Beaches, new neighbourhood parks, Hewi Dubai in Nad Al Sheba, schools, social neighbourhood Majlis and developments in countryside and rural areas.
The agency said community feedback, visitor insights and operational data are being used to guide upgrades and new projects, alongside construction methods intended to improve delivery and long-term maintenance.
More than 100 investment opportunities were also created across public facilities, including options for small and medium-sized enterprises. These are intended to bring private-sector operators into public destinations through commercial and service offerings linked to recreational and community use.
Dubai Municipality said the projects form part of work tied to the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
