Arafat Sermon to Be Translated Into 35 Languages This Hajj
The Presidency of Religious Affairs will broadcast this year’s Arafat sermon globally across digital platforms and affiliated channels.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque will translate this year’s Arafat sermon into 35 languages and broadcast it through digital platforms and affiliated channels during the Hajj season.
According to the presidency, the initiative is intended to expand access to the sermon for Muslims worldwide and increase the global reach of its religious content.
Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, imam of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, said the project aims to deliver the themes of the sermon internationally while conveying Islam’s message of moderation.
Al-Sudais added that the translation initiative forms part of broader efforts to serve pilgrims and expand the impact of Hajj-related religious content through digital technologies and online platforms.
According to Al-Sudais, the Arafat sermon translation project builds on years of accumulated experience in multilingual religious broadcasting and helps make the sermon accessible to non-Arabic-speaking Muslims.
The presidency stated that specialised technical and media teams have been mobilised to support global distribution of the sermon across digital channels and affiliated media platforms.
