'Seven Dogs' Crosses EGP 1.19 Billion at Global Box Office

The Saudi-backed production has generated EGP 1.194 billion globally and is set to secure a streaming deal worth more than EGP 400 million.

'Seven Dogs' Crosses EGP 1.19 Billion at Global Box Office

'Seven Dogs' has generated around EGP 1.194 billion in global box office revenue, according to Turki Al Al Sheikh, Chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, who said the film has officially entered profit.

In a post shared on Facebook, Al Al Sheikh said the film will expand into China and India in August, before being sold to a major streaming platform in a deal valued at more than EGP 400 million.

He also outlined the financial support behind the production, noting that producers received approximately USD 15 million (around EGP 750 million) through Saudi Arabia's filming cash rebate programme. The project also secured around USD 4 million (approximately EGP 200 million) in sponsorships from companies spanning the telecommunications, hospitality, automotive, restaurant, retail, banking and beverage sectors.

The film stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah directing. The international cast includes Monica Bellucci, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Max Huang, alongside Nasser Al Qasabi, Tara Emad, Sandy Billa and Sayed Ragab. The screenplay was written by Mohamed El Dabbah.
