Mohamed Ramadan is Getting ‘Number One’ Back in Motion

Mohamed Ramadan is getting ‘Number One’ moving again, returning to preparations for the film after receiving the final script from screenwriter Mohamed Sayed Bashir.

The project marks the first time Ramadan and Bashir have worked together on a film, with the two already holding sessions to shape Ramadan’s character before filming begins.

For Ramadan, ‘Number One’ follows his 2026 historical drama ‘Asad’, which marked his return to cinema after several years away from the big screen. Before that, his most recent films included ‘Harley’ and ‘Aalzero’, both released in 2023.

Bashir, meanwhile, has recently been working primarily in television. He wrote the 2026 series ‘El Set Mona Lisa’, following ‘Al Amira: Del Heita’ in 2025 and ‘Mohareb’ in 2024. His previous film credits include the 2021 thriller ‘Al Aref’ and 2017’s ‘Horob Edterary’.

‘Number One’ itself is being planned on a larger scale, with filming expected to take place across several countries and a number of international names set to join the cast.
