La Liste Recognises Egypt’s Khufu’s as ‘Best Restaurant in Africa’

Global ranking platform La Liste has named Khufu’s the Best Restaurant in Africa at its annual event in Morocco, placing the Cairo venue firmly on the international dining map. Head chef Mostafa Seif and founder Giovanni Bolandrini, joined by their team, accepted the award on stage.


Since its opening, Khufu’s has built a reputation on precision and atmosphere in equal measure. With dishes that draw on Egyptian heritage while embracing contemporary technique — and a dining room that looks out directly onto the pyramids — it has earned a following of regulars who come as much for the cultural resonance as the food itself.

Previously recognised by La Liste as a Hidden Gem of the Mediterranean, Khufu’s now carries Africa’s top honour.
