Egypt’s Spiro Spathis Enters Its Can Era
Spiro Spathis launches in cans with its four best-selling flavours: Cola, Lemon, Red Apple and Mandarin.
For more than a century, Spiro Spathis was the bottle you opened by pulling a string on a kiosk fridge or prying a cap loose on a kitchen nail. It was the drink after school, by the sea, between swims, on the walk home — the taste that seemed to be everywhere.
First introduced in 1920 as Egypt’s earliest kazouza, Spiro Spathis has evolved without losing the identity people grew up with. The classic glass bottle was joined in recent years by plastic formats (330 ml and 1L), and a wider mix of flavours that revived familiar arguments between Red Apple loyalists and Mandarin fans.
Now, Spiro Spathis enters its can era. The same lineup — from Cola and Lemon Soda, to Red Apple and Mandarin — returns in a new form: still fizzy, still familiar, just packaged for the next chapter.
