UAE Residents Can Now Pay Government Fees in Zero-Interest Instalments

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has introduced a scheme enabling residents to pay government service fees through zero-interest instalments. The plan, launched during GITEX Global 2025, allows eligible payments of AED 500 or more to be split over 3 to 12 months depending on the bank’s terms.

Credit card holders from 10 participating banks (including First Abu Dhabi Bank, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, Emirates NBD, Mashreq, RAKBANK, and others) and Visa users can access the instalment option. Activation can be done via bank call centres, digital channels, or direct Visa instalment services.

The initiative aims to lighten the financial burden of government transactions and enhance customer experience, aligning with the Year of Community 2025 theme. The ICP will monitor uptake by service type and branch, with plans to expand flexible payment options across other government serv ices.
