Sharjah Police Launch Proactive Team to Improve Workplace Safety
Field visits will register unregistered firms and provide training on the Sharjah Occupational Safety and Health System.
Sharjah Police has launched a specialised proactive team to improve workplace safety compliance across the emirate, focusing on company registration, training and on-site engagement.
Led by the General Directorate of Prevention and Safety, the initiative will carry out field visits to identify unregistered companies, register them under the Sharjah Occupational Safety and Health System, and provide training programmes and technical consultations.
The programme is designed to reduce workplace incidents and strengthen preventive practices, with an emphasis on improving employee safety and maintaining sustainable work environments.
Ahmed Saeed Al Naour said the initiative reflects a shift from reactive enforcement to a proactive prevention model, aimed at helping companies meet safety requirements and better manage occupational risks.
The team will focus on raising awareness of safety standards and supporting their implementation across sectors, with the goal of reducing accidents and improving overall compliance.
