Sharjah Charity Launches Smart Donation Screens for Ramadan

Sharjah Charity International has introduced a network of digital donation platforms across the emirate for Ramadan, anchored by new smart donation screens in major shopping centres.
The plan includes 18 smart donation screens installed in leading malls, enabling contributions through Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, QR code scanning and credit cards. To support in-person collection, the association will place 100 donation boxes in mosques and public locations during Friday prayers, Taraweeh and Qiyam Al Lail. A team of 100 vetted volunteers will oversee collection efforts during peak prayer times.
Additionally, 54 customer service staff have been deployed across shopping centres and government facilities to receive donations directly. In the retail sector, 6,729 small donation boxes have been distributed in grocery stores across Sharjah to encourage wider community participation.
The association has also introduced 256 handheld donation devices that allow contributors to select amounts and complete payments quickly. These devices are connected directly to the association’s headquarters to ensure secure and efficient processing. In coordination with the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, 578 donation cabinets have been installed in mosques. 'Enmaa Al Khair' initiative, 730 large donation boxes and 83 electronic donation devices have been placed in hotels. Beyond physical collection points, Sharjah Charity International confirmed that donations can also be made through its website, SMS services, smart links, credit cards, bank transfers, a mobile application and its call centre.
