Sham El Nessim Holiday Set for Monday April 13th in Egypt

Egypt will observe a paid official holiday on Monday April 13th, 2026 for Sham El Nessim.

The decision was issued by Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and applies to employees across ministries, government entities, public authorities and local administration units.

The holiday also covers workers in public sector companies, public business sector companies and the private sector. All employees within these entities will receive the day off with full pay as part of the annual Sham El Nessim holiday.
