Saudi Ministries Launch Public Arts Schools in Riyadh & Jeddah

he Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education launched the country’s first public arts schools in Riyadh and Jeddah. The Academy of Arts and Culture welcomes students from fourth grade of primary school through to first intermediate grade, offering specialisation in theatre, acting, drawing, music and singing.
The schools follow a dual system: students receive a general education during the day and intensive arts training in the evening. Tuition is free of charge, with costs fully covered by the government.
The programme combines academic coursework with cultural development, and plans are underway to expand to all education stages and additional disciplines in the arts and culture sectors.
The announcement comes amid wider cultural investments in Saudi Arabia.
