Saudi Junior Handball Team Qualifies for 2025 World Championship
After beating Oman, the team will proceed to the 2025 Men’s Junior World Championship in Poland.
The Saudi national junior handball team has secured a place at the 2025 Men’s Junior World Championship in Poland.
The Saudi team qualified after emerging victorious over Oman at the 18th Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship in Amman, Jordan. The Saudi team beat the Omani team with a score of 37 to 32 in the final round of Group 2, solidifying their place in the global tournament by coming in at second place in their group.
Before playing against Oman in the final round, the Saudi team won against Iran in the second round, but lost their first round against Japan.
Saudi Arabia’s victory this year marks the junior team’s fifth qualification for the World Championship, having previously qualified in 1979, 1997, 2017 and 2023.
