Saudi Arabia Reaches 1.5 Million Registered Volunteers in 2025
The Kingdom has exceeded its Vision 2030 volunteer target five years ahead of schedule.
Saudi Arabia recorded 1.5 million registered volunteers in 2025, exceeding its Vision 2030 target of one million volunteers five years ahead of schedule. The milestone builds on momentum from 2024, when the Kingdom first crossed the one-million mark, reflecting sustained growth rather than a one-off surge.
Volunteer participation has expanded across a wide range of sectors in recent years, supported by national platforms that organise and register opportunities in social services, healthcare, education, environmental protection, culture, sports, and major public events. Volunteers are increasingly involved in community initiatives, Hajj and Umrah services, heritage festivals, emergency response efforts, and charitable programmes. Opportunities are structured to accommodate different age groups and skill sets, with accredited volunteer hours, training pathways, and formal recognition now embedded into many programmes.
