Riyadh Public Transport Authority to Launch Student & Annual Passes

Starting January 1st, 2026, the Riyadh Public Transport Authority will launch new semester-based tickets for students and annual passes for all passengers, offering unlimited travel on the city’s public transport network at a fixed cost. The authority says the new options aim to save commuters time and money by eliminating the need for frequent individual ticket purchases.

The semester ticket is tailored specifically for students, while the annual ticket will be available to all users, allowing unrestricted journeys across the system for the duration of the pass.
