‘Rehla’ Organises Free School Trips to Museums & Heritage Sites
The platform allows public schools to schedule free visits throughout the academic year, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum and Karnak Temple.

In an effort to promote cultural awareness among students and strengthen connections with Egypt’s ancient heritage, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has launched a new digital platform, ‘Rehla’, designed to organise free school trips for public schools to museums and archaeological sites across the country. The platform allows public schools to schedule free visits throughout the academic year, following recent decisions by the Supreme Council of Antiquities, the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to grant complimentary entry to primary and preparatory school students. Through ‘Rehla’, schools can reserve trips to more than 112 archaeological sites and museums nationwide, including the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, Salah El-Din Citadel, the Valley of the Kings, Karnak Temple, Deir El-Bahari, and the Graeco-Roman Museum in Alexandria. The digital system manages visitor quotas and schedules for each site, ensuring a balanced flow of students while preserving the quality of the educational and cultural experience.
