Red Sea Authority Grants Tourist Yacht Licences to Boost Tourism
Saudi Arabia’s first yacht tourism licences pave the way for streamlined marine operations, attracting international investors to the Red Sea.
The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has issued its first six licences for tourist yacht agents, marking a significant step in expanding Saudi Arabia’s coastal tourism sector. This initiative aligns with Vision 2030’s focus on diversifying the Kingdom’s economy and developing its tourism industry.
The new licences, granted to national and international companies such as Faisal M. Higgi & Associates Co. Ltd., HASCO Group and Hill Robinson, authorise these agents to operate in the Red Sea, offering services that enhance the visitor experience in Saudi waters. SRSA’s move is expected to boost investments in marine tourism, improve infrastructure, and support environmental protection along the Red Sea coastline.
The SRSA’s licensing also streamlines marina access, tourism logistics, and customs procedures, making Saudi Arabia’s coastal offerings more accessible and appealing to both tourists and investors. By fostering a well-regulated marine tourism environment, the authority aims to transform the Red Sea into a world-class destination for leisure and investment, reinforcing the Kingdom’s commitment to its Vision 2030 tourism objectives.
