Prince of Wales to Make First Official Visit to Saudi Arabia
Prince William will visit Saudi Arabia from February 9th to 11th, 2026 at the UK government’s request.
The Prince of Wales will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from February 9th to 11th, 2026, marking Prince William's first official visit to the country. The trip is being undertaken at the request of the British Government, according to Kensington Palace.
The palace said the visit comes as the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia continue to strengthen trade, energy and investment relations, with the two countries set to approach a century of diplomatic ties in 2027. The visit follows recent high-level engagement between the two governments, including visits to Saudi Arabia by the UK Chancellor and Foreign Secretary, as well as Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2024.
The Saudi Arabia trip will be Prince William’s first official overseas visit of 2026. It will also mark his return to the Middle East following a visit to Kuwait in 2023, where he travelled to offer condolences after the death of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
Prince William has previously visited the region on several occasions, including a visit to Oman and a 2022 trip to the United Arab Emirates, where he delivered remarks on climate change during Dubai Expo 2020.
