Official Opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum Confirmed for November 1
The Grand Egyptian Museum is set to open on November 1st following a delay earlier this year.

The Grand Egyptian Museum is scheduled to open on November 1st, following official approval from President El-Sisi. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has directed all ministries and concerned authorities to complete preparations to ensure the museum and its surrounding area are fully ready for the occasion.
The museum’s opening had previously been scheduled for July 3rd, 2025, but was postponed due to regional tensions. It is now confirmed that while much of the museum is already accessible to visitors, including its grand hall, main galleries and commercial area, the official inauguration has been deferred until the final quarter of 2025.
