Missile Strike Kills Two & Injures 12 in Al-Kharj Governorate
Authorities confirmed that those killed were one Indian national and one Bangladeshi national.
A missile strike hit a residential area in Saudi Arabia’s Al-Kharj Governorate on Sunday, killing two people and injuring 12 others, according to the Saudi Civil Defense.
In a statement, a Civil Defense spokesperson said the projectile struck a residential compound housing workers from a maintenance and cleaning company. The incident caused significant material damage to the site.
Authorities confirmed that those killed were one Indian national and one Bangladeshi national. The 12 injured were all Bangladeshi residents living in the compound.
The incident comes amid escalating tensions in the Gulf region, following Iranian retaliatory actions targeting US military assets in Gulf states after joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28th.
