Silal Expands to Ras Al Khaimah Through National Agriculture Partnersh
The initiative launches in Al Hamraniyah to support farmers and strengthen agricultural supply chains.
Abu Dhabi-based agri-food and technology company Silal has expanded its operations to Ras Al Khaimah through a new partnership with the National Agricultural Center aimed at supporting local farmers and strengthening agricultural supply chains.
The collaboration will begin in Al Hamraniyah on March 9th, where the first phase of the initiative will focus on establishing an integrated support system for farms in the area.
The programme will provide farmers with technical assistance, access to agricultural inputs, and guidance on best farming practices. It will also oversee post-harvest handling and product marketing to improve the movement of locally grown produce into wider markets.
As part of the initiative, a dedicated crop collection centre will be established in Al Hamraniyah to manage the receipt, distribution and marketing of agricultural products from surrounding farms.
The partnership extends Silal’s operations beyond Abu Dhabi and forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the agricultural ecosystem across the UAE. Authorities said the project is designed to improve the efficiency of agricultural supply chains, expand market access for Emirati produce, and support long-term sector sustainability.
The National Agricultural Center was established as an independent federal entity under Cabinet Resolution No. 118 of 2024 to support the development of the UAE’s agricultural sector and enhance national food security.
