Madinah Airport Road Renamed After Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

A major airport road in Madinah has been renamed Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, in accordance to a proclamation by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The 13 km road links the Prophet’s Mosque to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, providing a direct route to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport and the Royal Terminal. It is a key corridor for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims, as well as other visitors travelling between the mosque and the airport in one of Islam’s holiest cities.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road will connect to three main highways in Madinah: King Faisal Road (1st Ring), King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Road (2nd Ring), and King Khalid Road (3rd Ring).

Several projects are underway along the corridor, including the development of vehicle and pedestrian tracks and a rehabilitation project for Wadi Qanat, a significant valley in Madinah.
