Life Guards Rescue Stranded Sea Turtle at the North Coast
Lifeguards spotted the turtle struggling near the shoreline and intervened to carefully remove the plastic string around its legs before releasing it safely back into the water.

A stranded sea turtle was rescued this week on the shores of Fouka Bay, a resort along the North Coast, after it was found with its legs entangled in plastic string. Lifeguards spotted the turtle struggling near the shoreline and intervened to carefully remove the plastic before releasing it safely back into the water.
In a separate incident just a few kilometres east, the Ministry of Environment released another sea turtle back into the Mediterranean in Port Said. The turtle had been found by a civilian and handed over to local authorities, who confirmed its health before returning it to the sea.
