Jebel Jais Offers Free Dining & Zipline for Kids During Eid
From March 17th to March 22nd the mountain retreat sweetens the deal with complimentary meals for under-16s and a chance to ride the world's longest zipline on the house.
There are family outings that require negotiation, bribery, and at least one stern word about screen time. And then there's the kind where you drive up a mountain, hand the children over to a zipline, and someone else picks up the bill for their lunch.
Jebel Jais, the UAE's loftiest peak, has just made the Eid break considerably easier for parents. From March 17th to March 22nd, kids under 16 eat free at 1484 by Puro, the restaurant perched at the mountain's summit with views that make the drive worthwhile even before you factor in the complimentary chips.
But the real trick up Jebel Jais's sleeve is what happens after lunch. Children who meet the 40kg minimum weight requirement can also experience Jais Flight —the world's longest zipline— at no cost when accompanied by an adult. That's roughly 2.8 kilometres of screaming, wind-in-hair, look-Ma-no-hands adventure, priced at absolutely nothing.
For families who want to stretch the day further, the mountain offers more than just height-based thrills. The Jais Sky Tour provides a guided aerial glide across the rugged terrain. Red Rock serves up open-air dining for when you've had enough of heights and just want to sit somewhere pretty. And for children who prefer their challenges closer to the ground, the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp delivers outdoor activities designed to build confidence, resilience, and probably a healthy respect for the natural world.
