In‑Home Healthcare Initiative Launches in Port Said & Ismailia
The in-home care program is part of Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance rollout, with full national coverage expected by 2027 following a phase one investment of over EGP 51 billion.

Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) has launched the 'Your Care at Home' initiative in Port Said and Ismailia, after having completed 2,000 in-home visits in its pilot phase.
The program offers medical services including family medicine, nursing, chronic disease care, physical therapy and elderly support through mobile medical units. Services are available within 48 hours, or on the same day for urgent needs, and are open to all citizens regardless of insurance status.
Medical teams follow standardised clinical protocols to ensure service quality and patient privacy. Future expansions will include post-surgical and mental health services.
The initiative is part of the Universal Health Insurance System, currently operating in six governorates, with full national rollout targeted for 2027.
