Helwan University Researchers Secure US Patent for Cancer Treatment

A research team from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Helwan University has successfully filed a US patent, No. 12258321 B1, on March 25, 2025, after researchers developed a new test for chemical compounds that have demonstrated effectiveness in halting the spread of cancer cells, a discovery that could lead to a new generation of drugs aimed at treating tumors. The team involved in the research includes Dr. Mostafa El-Araby, Dr. Yara Mansour, Dr. Samar Fathallah, Dr. Ahmed Saeed, and Dr. Shahenda Mahgoub.
