Hajj 2025 Reported Best In 50 Years
The statement came at the fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition at Jeddah Superdome, featuring speakers from more than 150 countries and over 140 sessions.
Hajj 2025 has been hailed as the best in five decades, with pilgrim satisfaction reaching 91%, according to updates shared at the Fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition held at Jeddah Superdome. Taking place under the patronage of King Salman and themed From Makkah to the World, the event runs until November 12, 2025, and is organised by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program.
The conference also saw the launch of the first History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum, organised by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives. The exhibition features over 143 dialogue sessions and workshops, with speakers representing more than 150 countries.
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced that preparations for the upcoming Hajj season began on Dhul Hijjah 13, under the supervision of the Supreme Hajj Committee and in coordination with government bodies. He revealed that contracts for over 60% of pilgrims have been finalised, half of the holy sites are complete and expected to be fully ready by Dhul Qadah 1, and over 70% of residential and hotel facilities have been prepared in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism.
Pilgrim satisfaction has climbed steadily—from 74% in 2022 to 91% this year. Al-Rabiah also highlighted the success of the Nusk app, which now counts over 40 million users worldwide and is entering a new phase powered by Nusk AI. Additionally, 71 historical and cultural sites in Makkah and Madinah have been developed and visited by more than 3 million people, achieving a 95% satisfaction rate.
Several agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed during the conference to strengthen cooperation in technology, operations, and service quality for future pilgrims.
