Gulf States Suspend Flights After Israeli Strikes on Iran

Several Gulf nations have suspended flights or shut down airspace following Israel and the United States launching what US President Trump referred to as a “major combat operation” against Iran early today, February 28th. Explosions were also reported in Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar.
The UAE announced a partial closure of its airspace as a precaution. Meanwhile, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain fully suspended flights and shut down their airspace. Iraq and Iran and shutdown civilian airspace amid ongoing military operations.
Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a statement advising passengers to verify their flight times and monitor any schedule updates.
The moves come as regional tensions spike after Israeli‑US strikes on Iranian targets and retaliatory Iranian missile launches.
Airlines across the Gulf and international carriers have canceled or rerouted flights, urging passengers to check schedules directly.
