Frozen Strawberries Lead Egypt Food Exports at USD 571 Million
Egypt’s food industries exports reached USD 4.6 billion in the first eight months of 2025, up 9% year on year.

Frozen strawberries ranked first among Egypt’s exported food products in the first eight months of 2025, with exports worth USD 571 million and year-on-year growth of 78%, according to the Food Export Council.
Total food industries exports reached USD 4.6 billion in the same period, up 9% from the corresponding months of 2024. The sector accounted for 14% of Egypt’s non-oil merchandise exports and ranked third among non-oil export sectors in the period cited.
Arab countries were the largest destination for Egypt’s food industries exports at USD 2.198 billion, representing 48% of the total, with a slight decline of USD 5 million versus the same period of 2024. The European Union received USD 962 million, up 8% (USD 69 million) and equal to 21% of the total.
Non-Arab African markets took USD 345 million, up 3% (USD 10 million) and equal to 7% of the total. The United States recorded USD 304 million, up 38% (USD 84 million) and equal to 7% of the total. Exports to the rest of the world reached USD 798 million, up 36% (USD 210 million), representing 17%.
