Cabinet Approves New International Universities & Legislative Reforms
Local branches of Queen Margaret University and Edinburgh Napier University have been approved by the newly-established Capital International Education Foundation.

The Egyptian Cabinet approved the establishment of the Capital International Education Foundation, a new educational institution based in the New Administrative Capital. The foundation will host local branches of Queen Margaret University and Edinburgh Napier University, both based in Scotland.
Queen Margaret University will offer programmes in business administration, psychology, education, cinema and media, creative and cultural industries, international hospitality and tourism management, as well as physiotherapy, nutrition, and food sciences, alongside a range of postgraduate degrees.
Edinburgh Napier University will provide academic programmes in computing, engineering, and the built environment, including UX design, civil engineering, cybersecurity, electrical and mechanical engineering, software systems, and computer networks, in addition to graphic, interior, and product design, and postgraduate studies.
The Cabinet also approved a presidential decree establishing the Mediterranean University in Alexandria, located in the Syouf district. The new private university will include faculties of medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, nursing, business and economics, and computer science and artificial intelligence. The medical faculty will begin operations after the university hospital is built and fully licensed.
