Bibliotheca Alexandrina's Book Fair Begins on July 7th

The 20th edition of Bibliotheca Alexandrina's annual international book fair will run frpom July 7th until July 21st, 2025. Since its first edition in 2002, the book fair has become an annual event that local intellectuals look forward to as the biggest book fair in the city.

This year, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina International Book Fair includes 33 newly published titles. The book fair will be attended by 78 regional publishing houses, in addition to 16 children’s publishing houses. An entire wing will be dedicated to rare and out-of-print books. On July 17th, the award ceremony for Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s Grand Reading Competition will also be held in the conference centre.

In parallel to the fair, Bibliotheca Alexandrina will also hold approximately 215 cultural events and panel discussions, in which 800 speakers will be present. Some events will be held in collaboration with Beit El-Sennary in Sayeda Zeinab, Cairo and Princess Khadija Palace in Helwan.
