AC Milan to Open Football Academy in Jeddah in January
The academy will operate through a partnership with SportPlex, described as Jeddah’s largest indoor multi-sport facility.
AC Milan is set to open a new AC Milan Academy in Jeddah, marking the club’s first academy project in Saudi Arabia. Scheduled to launch in January, the initiative represents AC Milan’s initial step into the Kingdom and will introduce a youth development programme based on the AC Milan Method, combining football training with educational and social values.
The academy will operate through a partnership with SportPlex, described as Jeddah’s largest indoor multi-sport facility. According to AC Milan, the project aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and supports objectives led by the Ministry of Sport and the Ministry of Investment to grow the sports sector and promote health and wellbeing. The programme will be delivered by club coaches alongside local experts, applying the AC Milan Method to develop young players’ technical skills, tactical understanding and personal growth both on and off the pitch.
The club framed the Jeddah launch as part of a broader expansion of its academy network across the Middle East. AC Milan also pointed out that its First Team is currently in Saudi Arabia preparing for the 2025 Supercoppa Italiana, following previous editions hosted in Jeddah and Riyadh.
