The Ministry of Social Solidarity has launched 27 mobile units equipped to support homeless children and adults across all governorates, operating through central rapid intervention teams in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The units are staffed by 150 specialists and operate around the clock to provide immediate support in the field. Teams assess each case, deliver urgent health, social and psychological assistance, and transport individuals to appropriate care facilities for continued support.
The ministry called on the public to report urgent cases to ensure a swift response. Reports can be submitted through the ministry’s hotline, via WhatsApp or through the Cabinet’s unified government complaints system. Citizens are encouraged to provide precise locations to help speed field deployment.
Minister Maya Morsy directed central rapid intervention teams and local branches to maintain field coverage across governorates to ensure rapid access to vulnerable individuals and continuity of care through qualified service providers.
