240,000 Copies of Holy Qur’an Distributed to Umrah Pilgrims in Madinah
The copies were handed out at Al-Miqat Mosque in February under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift programme.
A total of 240,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed to Umrah pilgrims at Al-Miqat Mosque in Madinah during February as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ gift programme.
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance said its Madinah branch oversaw the distribution to serve pilgrims and visitors arriving in the city. The copies were produced by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an and included various sizes, alongside translations of the meanings into several international languages to accommodate diverse nationalities.
The initiative was implemented under an operational plan designed to manage high pilgrim volumes at Al-Miqat Mosque, a key location where worshippers enter into ihram. Field teams were stationed at distribution points to facilitate the process and provide guidance to recipients.
