stc & Humain Plan Joint Venture to Build KSA Data Centre Capacity
Humain will hold a 51% stake in the venture, while stc will own the remaining 49%.
Saudi Telecom Company (stc) and Saudi artificial intelligence company Humain have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a joint venture focused on developing and operating data centres across Saudi Arabia.
Under the proposed structure, Humain will hold a 51% stake in the venture, while stc will own the remaining 49%. The partnership is designed to deliver data centre infrastructure capable of supporting operations with a required load of up to 1 gigawatt, beginning with an initial deployment phase of up to 250 megawatts.
Humain, which is backed by the Public Investment Fund, has already secured several agreements linked to data centre development in Saudi Arabia. These include partnerships with xAI and with AirTrunk, a data centre operator backed by Blackstone. The company has stated that it is targeting total capacity of around 6 gigawatts by 2034.
