Robo.ai & Tachyon9 Form Joint Venture to Develop AI Data Centres
The UAE-based firm and US infrastructure provider will invest in AI-focused data centres across the region and globally.
Robo.ai, a United Arab Emirates-based technology company, has formed a joint venture with Tachyon9 Corporation, a United States-based data centre infrastructure provider, to invest in, develop and operate artificial intelligence data centres in the UAE and international markets.
Under the agreement, the joint venture will be majority owned by Robo.ai and will focus on building facilities designed to support AI training and high-performance computing workloads. The partnership reflects growing demand for specialised data centre infrastructure capable of handling large-scale artificial intelligence applications.
The venture’s first planned project is a 20 megawatt AI data centre expected to be located in the Asia-Pacific region or the Middle East and North Africa. The facility is intended to support the training of large language models and other advanced AI systems that require significant computing power and energy capacity.
The companies said the collaboration brings together Robo.ai’s regional technology expertise and Tachyon9’s experience in designing and operating data centre infrastructure. The joint venture is positioned to respond to rising global demand for AI-ready data centres as governments and enterprises accelerate investments in artificial intelligence capabilities.
