OpenText Establishes MENA HQ in Riyadh to Scale Secure Enterprise AI
The Riyadh hub will serve Middle East customers with a focus on data sovereignty, security, and compliance as Saudi Arabia advances digital transformation and enterprise AI.
OpenText, a Canada-based enterprise software company specialising in secure information management, has opened its Middle East regional headquarters in King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh. The move places the company closer to customers and partners across the region as organisations scale artificial intelligence and digital transformation initiatives.
The inauguration was attended by Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of International Trade and Economic Development, and Jean-Philippe Linteau, Canada’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia. OpenText said the expansion reflects a long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East, where demand is increasing for enterprise-grade AI, cybersecurity and compliant data infrastructure.
From its base in KAFD, OpenText will support government and private sector organisations transitioning from pilot AI projects to secure, enterprise-scale deployment. The company said its local presence is intended to address regional requirements around data sovereignty, security and regulatory compliance, while providing on-the-ground expertise to customers.
OpenText plans to expand its local workforce, build strategic partnerships and deepen engagement with government entities.
