Contact Financial Appoints Manal Hussein Abdel Razek as Chairperson
Egypt’s largest non-bank financial services firm appoints a new chair.
Egypt-based Contact Financial Holding, a company offering consumer finance, mortgages, leasing and insurance services, has appointed Manal Hussein Abdel Razek as Chairperson of its Board of Directors, succeeding Hazem Moussa.
Dr Manal brings more than 30 years of experience across Egypt’s financial services sector, with roles spanning both government and private industry. She currently serves as Executive Chairperson of New City Housing & Development and as a senior advisor to industrial group TCI Sanmar.
Her previous positions include founding and chairing e-Finance and leading Tamweel Mortgage Finance. She has also held board roles at Misr Iran Development Bank and Arab Investment Bank.
Earlier in her career, she spent over two decades in government, including as Deputy Minister of Finance and Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, contributing to economic policy and reform. She also previously chaired Orascom Development Egypt, where she oversaw the development of El Gouna as a carbon-neutral destination.
“Dr Manal’s appointment comes at a defining moment in Contact’s evolution,” John Saad said. “Her depth of experience across governance and financial services will be instrumental in guiding the next phase of growth.”
The appointment comes as Contact continues to advance its strategy focused on digital transformation, operational efficiency and expanding access to financial services.
