BY Venture Partners Launches Lebanese Angel Investor Network

BY Venture Partners, a Dubai-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage startups and technology investments across the region, has launched the Lebanese Angel Investor Network, known as LAIN, with backing from Ministry of Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

According to the firm, the network launched with commitments exceeding its initial target shortly after its official introduction to the startup ecosystem.

In a statement shared online, BY Venture Partners described the response to the launch as stronger than anticipated, adding that investor participation had already surpassed early expectations.

The launch event was opened by Kamal Shehadi, who spoke about the ministry’s broader vision for Lebanon’s digital economy and technology sector.

The firm stated that the network is intended to support early-stage founders and create investment opportunities connected to Lebanon and the wider Lebanese diaspora.

A recording of the launch webinar has been made available through the company’s Vessel platform, where four startup founders were presented as part of the network’s first group of potential investment opportunities.

According to BY Venture Partners, the first cohort includes startups identified through its internal network as well as broader diaspora connections.

The company also confirmed that LAIN is now officially open and accepting investor commitments.
