What’s the story behind this image? Where and when was it taken?
Many women have grown accustomed to being behind the scenes.
In rural Egypt, a woman’s day begins before everyone else’s. She leaves before sunrise, carrying a light breakfast for a long day ahead, and heads to the fields to work alongside her husband.
Why did you choose this particular image?
I chose this photograph because, for me, the moment is the most important thing. The bottle was also an important element in making the image successful.
